Are Classes at KCP Taught in Japanese or English?
KCP classes are taught primarily in Japanese to create a true immersion environment.
Because students come from many countries, Japanese becomes the shared classroom language. This helps students build listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills while learning to think in Japanese instead of translating from English.
Students are placed by proficiency level, so beginners are not expected to understand advanced Japanese immediately. Teachers use techniques designed for international learners. Supplemental English support may be available when needed, especially for grammar explanations, but students are encouraged to use Japanese as much as possible in class and daily life.
