All KCP activities were great!!!

Rachel from Summer Short 2018

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

All of them were great!!! The Koto club lessons, calligraphy class, Bon festival, Yamanashi Prefecture trip, yukata lesson, tea ceremony, and more!

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Speaking exercises: drill practice, pair work, especially short skits made to present to the class. Tests were also very helpful to keep myself constantly reviewing material.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

1. Be ready to be challenged. This course is intensive and requires a lot of work outside of class. You will not have a lot of free time. Work hard and you will be rewarded with amazing Japanese gains! 2. The teachers and staff are really kind! Do not hesitate to speak with them if you're having trouble, need some advice, or just have a simple question. They will be happy to help you.

Any other comments or suggestions?

If I get the chance in the future, I will come again to study at KCP! I truly enjoyed my time at KCP. Thank you!

Testimonials

Frankly, it seemed like the best. The other programs I looked at were either heavily geared towards Chinese and Korean students or prohibitively expensive. Plus, KCP has a long history and a LOT of alumni who openly praise the program online — and I hope to be among them!
