Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I enjoyed the Yamanashi Bus Trip because it provided opportunities to practice regular conversation with the teachers and staff who accompanied us, something which is harder to do during a regular school day. Things such as the peach eating and zazen practice also aren't things one would usually do on a personal sightseeing trip.

Why did you select this program?

The main reason I selected KCP was because the summer short program fit into my summer break, whereas most language schools didn't seem to have similar offerings. I also liked how the English website had natural English, in contrast to the broken English of most websites I looked at.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

This is particular to my case, but, during group session, since one other classmate and I were more advanced than our level, we would sometimes have class with just the two of us and a teacher. These were by far the times when I learned the most. In regular class, I thought the parts of our textbook which were practice middle school entrance exams (中学校入試対策に挑戦してみよう or something like that) were the most helpful because they often involved idioms, something which I never learned much of. Again, though, that's just a personal thing.
