The opportunity to see another, deeper side of Japan. The commentary provided by the teachers was also very valuable.

Matthew from Winter 2017

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The Kamakura trip was a great chance to experience something unique with the added bonus of having knowledgable native guides.

Why did you select this program?

I wanted a comprehensive program that would cover all aspects of moving to Japan, settling in and studying.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The format and pace of language classes has been very helpful. I've enjoyed these the most.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The frequency of tests meant there was no time to become complacent. The text books (particular grammar) were very helpful for setting everything out clearly. These should be useful even after the course has ended.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

The opportunity to see another, deeper side of Japan. The commentary provided by the teachers was also very valuable.
