FAQ » Financial Aid

Do you have scholarship recommendations?

Yes. Please see Financial Aid.

I am currently enrolled in FullSail University to study music production. I love Japan and always dreamed of studying Japanese. How can I get assistance to pay for this program?

Usually you can apply for financial aid through a consortium agreement either between your school and one of our sponsor schools (WWU, U. of Idaho, or Lincoln U.), or to KCP directly. To pick the best approach, talk with your financial aid or study abroad advisor. Please also see our links for financial aid.

My financial aid doesn't coincide with your payment schedule requirement. For instance, for a start in Jan 2012, you require payment in October 2011. At my school I would get aid in August 2011 for the September term here; the aid I would get for the January term would be too late. How do other students manage this?

Sometimes we ask for deposits and payment up front before the aid comes through. In this case, you might have to borrow money from a family member or friend, or put it on credit, and pay them or yourself back when the aid comes. But we can work with you somewhat if you can provide things like a letter from your financial aid department with expected payment amounts and dates. Be sure to check with us ahead of time.

Testimonials

KCP has excellent support for students—the fun and extremely helpful English-speaking staff members as well as a kind, knowledgeable English support teacher. The Japanese teachers made themselves available to help students both after class and in the offices.
